Key Responsibilities of a CIT Crewman

As a CIT Driver or Crewman, you hold full accountability for the secure transit of our clients’ assets. Your core duties include:

  • Asset Management: Taking full responsibility for collecting and delivering client funds safely.
  • Operational Reporting: Notifying the Branch Manager immediately of any delays or logistics issues.
  • Incident Prevention: Actively identifying and reporting potential risks or suspicious activities.
  • Communication: Maintaining constant radio contact with controllers and dispatch.
  • Proactive Defense: Taking immediate preventive action against security threats.

Minimum Requirements

To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following strict criteria:

  • Certifications: PSIRA Grade C (minimum) and a valid CIT Certificate.
  • Firearms: Completed training in both handgun and rifle with a valid SAPS Competency Certificate.
  • Driving: A valid Driver’s License with a Professional Driving Permit (PDP).
  • Experience: At least 3 years of experience specifically in CIT driving and crew functions.
  • Tactical Skills: Formal tactical combat training is essential.
  • Records: A clear criminal record and a clear credit history.
