Key Responsibilities of a CIT Crewman
As a CIT Driver or Crewman, you hold full accountability for the secure transit of our clients’ assets. Your core duties include:
- Asset Management: Taking full responsibility for collecting and delivering client funds safely.
- Operational Reporting: Notifying the Branch Manager immediately of any delays or logistics issues.
- Incident Prevention: Actively identifying and reporting potential risks or suspicious activities.
- Communication: Maintaining constant radio contact with controllers and dispatch.
- Proactive Defense: Taking immediate preventive action against security threats.
Minimum Requirements
To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following strict criteria:
- Certifications: PSIRA Grade C (minimum) and a valid CIT Certificate.
- Firearms: Completed training in both handgun and rifle with a valid SAPS Competency Certificate.
- Driving: A valid Driver’s License with a Professional Driving Permit (PDP).
- Experience: At least 3 years of experience specifically in CIT driving and crew functions.
- Tactical Skills: Formal tactical combat training is essential.
- Records: A clear criminal record and a clear credit history.
