Position Overview: Quality In-Service Trainee
Two positions are open for Quality In-Service Trainees at the Westmead Biscuits factory. This is a 12-month fixed-term contract designed to offer valuable experiential learning in a real-world setting.
Key Responsibilities
As a trainee, you’ll gain hands-on experience across key areas:
- Food Safety Standards
- In-Process Quality Monitoring
- Quality Systems and Compliance
- Incoming Laboratory Sample Analysis
- Support in New Product Development Trials
You’ll work alongside experienced professionals, gain exposure to business operations, and learn how high-performing factories maintain world-class quality.

Minimum Requirements to Apply
Education:
- You must have completed a 2-year Food Technology Diploma
- You should be seeking 1-year in-service training to fulfill diploma requirements
Additional Requirements:
- Computer Literacy – Ability to handle data collection, reporting, and analysis
- Flexible Availability – Willing to work irregular hours when required
- Strong Communication – Excellent verbal and interpersonal skills
- Leadership and Initiative – Proactive mindset and willingness to take ownership
- Teamwork – Ability to work independently and collaborate with others effectively
